Masque Sound and Recording is rooted in a rich 71-year history that embraces all matters related to audio. Started by stage hands in the early 1930s to address the ever-increasing needs of the theater, we have since broadened, and continue to grow, to function in all capacities. We have formed an entity encompassing each aspect of the audio industry with total commitment to the client, capable of managing literally every need and creating the finest solution using in-house services including the very best in wireless technologies, product fabrication and manufacturing for Broadway, touring musicals, live concerts, television broadcasts, sporting events, corporate events and conventions. Masque is currently operated by brothers Geoff and James Shearing, the grandsons of the original founders.
Over the years, Geoff Shearing has had the opportunity to be of service to many houses of worship of all sizes from each corner of the country. His teams have successfully consulted, designed and installed new systems as well performed services such as gear purchasing and upgrades. “I take the responsibility of working among houses of worship with extra care, and I intend to make sure the job is done correctly from the beginning, ensuring that we fix existing problems and fully address each need and desire, not leaving until the client is completely satisfied,” remarked Shearing. As a result, he concluded that it was time to form the newest addition to the Masque family, the House of Worship Division, to ensure proper attention was focused to this market.

We, the staff chosen to spearhead this division, have all grown up in the church and participated in worship and technology team functions. We understand the difficulties faced during each service and event, from set-up to tear-down, to the frustration of that feedback or static that won’t completely go away, to the system maintenance and upgrades, and the challenges faced each year as new technologies are created for the house of worship market. We know the dedication it takes from staff and volunteers to make sure that each moment is successful. We want you to know that we are committed to providing excellence in all that we do, and we will treat your house of worship as it if were our very own.
